Disposition versions
8. Where the platform of the scale used is too short to support all the axles of a combination of road vehicles, the operator shall:
(1) have the combination of road vehicles move forward so that the axles of the tractor or towing vehicle are supported by the platform of the scale;
(2) have the combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;
(3) take the reading of the mass on the dial of the scale or on the display;
(4) have the combination of road vehicles move forward so that all the other axles of the combination of road vehicles replace the axles of the tractor or towing vehicle on the platform of the scale;
(5) have the combination of road vehicles come to a complete stop;
(6) take the reading of the mass on the dial of the scale or on the display.
The total loaded mass of the combination of road vehicles is determined by the sum of the readings taken in conformity with subparagraphs 3 and 6.
